Screen Junkies usually do really good work with their Honest Trailers. But, the compilation trailers are my absolute favorite. This week, they took on every Christopher Nolan film as a bonus for their Women in Film fundraiser. It is wonderful.

I’m a Christopher Nolan fan, as many cinephiles are. But it took Honest Trailers to show me some patterns that I had never previously put together. It’s so very Nolan of them. We all know that the visionary director loves to play with time and space. And we know that his worlds are places ‘where human emotions aren’t so much felt, as reasoned about.’ (Though hearing that out loud made me laugh too hard) But, how would I have ever noticed the proliferation of tan suits!?!

There are too many high points to mention, and I wouldn’t want to spoil it for you anyway. But, let’s just say I was extra delighted by Nolan’s own explanations and extra sad to be so happy to laugh at sad Michael Caine. Watch this one. Fans of Nolan and fans of movies, alike, will enjoy the ride. It’s terrific.

Christopher Nolan’s latest project was the oscar-winning WWII drama, Dunkirk. It was announced in 2015 that there would be a remake of his break-out film, Memento. There hasn’t been much talk of it since. But, you should be watching the original… and often.
