Bidet Critters! We have some exciting news today and we need to talk about it. Today, Entertainment Weekly broke the news that Critical Role‘s highly anticipated animated series The Legend of Vox Machina is coming to us sooner than expected! The series was initially set to hit Amazon Prime Video on February 4, 2022, but will now drop on January 28, 2022! But that isn’t all! In one of the best holiday treats we have gotten this year, EW also shared an exclusive clip and our favorite heroes in action.

If you thought that we didn’t get enough of Sam Riegel‘s Scanlan in the first clip from NYCC 2021, then you are in for a treat! In the new The Legend of Vox Machina, we see the team try and take on their greatest enemy – a door. Scanlan tries a little bardic spell, Keyleth (Marisha Ray) attempts to melt it, Pike (Ashley Johnson) figures out it’s not magical, while Vex (Laura Bailey), Percy (Taliesin Jaffe) and the others watch. Finally, Vax (Liam O’Brien) just picks the lock with Grog’s (Travis Willingham) sandwich toothpick. So clearly, Grog is the savior here. Right? The animated version of this scene is everything I have ever wanted and more.
I have been waiting for this series to come to life ever since it crushed the Kickstarter back in 2019 with over $11 million raised by over 80,000 backers. The series brings to animated life the adventures of Critical Role‘s first campaign starting with the Briarwood arc and hopefully continuing until the very end. The entire cast of Critical Role will reprise their roles within the series. We will also hear Matthew Mercer voice several of the NPCs within the series and Sylas Briarwood. I’m hopeful that we will get the chance to see a few of the guest stars from the campaign appear in the series, like Will Friedle and Mary Elizabeth McGlynn.
We don’t have much longer to wait! The Legend of Vox Machina will dop onto Amazon Prime Video starting on January 28, 2022. Check out the new clip below! Who do you think is the winner here? Grog right? We thought so too. Let us know why in the comments below and on social media!
